This shocking incident has happened not in India, but in Osaka city of Japan. Here an anonymous person has donated gold worth Rs 30 crore to repair the poor drainage and water supply system of the city.
An anonymous person sent 21 kg of gold to the mayor’s office of Osaka. There was also a letter along with the gold, in which it was written that this gold should be used to repair the drainage and water supply system of Osaka. The donor did not reveal his name or address.
Osaka Mayor Hideyuki Yokoyama reacted to the incident. He said, ‘I became emotional after seeing the gold and the letter.’ The Mayor said that complaints were being received continuously regarding the water and drainage system of the city and now this donation will be of great help.
The employees of the Mayor’s office have got the gold converted into cash. Now, with this entire money, orders have been given to repair the drainage and water supply system of Osaka city. Repair work has also started in the city.
Such big donations are made in temples in India too. In 2022, an anonymous devotee donated 60 kg of gold to Kashi Vishwanath Temple. However, the Osaka incident is different because this donation was given to the government for civic amenities.
