Addressing the Indian community settled in Singapore, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented a clear, positive and confident picture of the new India and the new Uttar Pradesh. He said that Uttar Pradesh, which was once known for riots and curfew, has today become the center of development, investment, faith, industrial progress and global trust.
He said in clear words that now there is neither riot nor curfew in Uttar Pradesh. Today there is an atmosphere of peace, security and development in the state. The Chief Minister discussed in detail the changes in law and order, new direction of development and conservation of heritage. During this, he also wished everyone a happy Holi festival.
Uttar Pradesh: Balanced model of heritage and development
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state of the country, has witnessed major changes in the last nine years. This change is the result of good governance, clear policy and strong leadership. He said that while implementing the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the ground, the state has presented a balanced model of ‘heritage and development’.
He described Ram temple as a symbol of India’s cultural identity and self-respect. The redevelopment of Kashi Vishwanath Dham is a confluence of tradition and modernity. Whereas Mathura-Vrindavan is the identity of devotion and spirituality of India. Giving the example of Mahakumbh, he said that there crores of people take a dip of faith together without any discrimination. This is the real strength of India’s unity and harmony.
UP’s economy tripled in 9 years
The Chief Minister said that the economy of the state has grown three times in the last nine years. Almost three times increase in per capita income has also been recorded. More than 34 sectoral policies are implemented in the state. Land bank of 75,000 acres is ready. Cluster based industrial areas have been developed. Better law and order and uninterrupted power supply are creating a favorable environment for investment.
He said that about 55 percent of mobile phones and about 60 percent of electronic components manufactured in India are being produced in Uttar Pradesh. He invited investors, industrialists and tourists to visit the state.
Diaspora Indians’ unbreakable connection with their motherland
The Chief Minister said that an Indian living in any corner of the world remains emotionally connected to his motherland. This connection inspires us to contribute to India’s development. He said that the roots of Indian culture are so deep that even after living thousands of kilometers apart, Indians remain connected to their identity and values. Referring to an ancient verse, he said that it is a matter of good fortune to be born on the land of India.
‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and the concept of Global Village
The Chief Minister said that India centuries ago gave the message of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, which means the whole world is one family. The basic spirit of the ‘Global Village’ that is talked about today was established by India thousands of years ago. He said that unity in diversity, respect for all and collective development is the identity of India. Prime Minister Modi’s mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” is a modern expression of this thinking.
India will soon become the world’s third largest economy
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that India will soon become the third largest economy in the world. India has made remarkable progress in the field of digital revolution, startup culture and innovation. Referring to the ‘AI Impact Summit’ recently held in New Delhi, he said that heads of state of more than 20 countries and representatives of more than 100 countries participated in it. This makes India’s growing global role clear. Many senior ministers and officials of Uttar Pradesh government were also present in this program.
