These days, crores of farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Meanwhile, a big news has increased the concern of many beneficiaries. In fact, the government had removed the names of lakhs of farmers from the beneficiary list in different states. Now it has become very important to know whether your name is included in this retrenchment.
Why are the names of farmers being cut?
The government updates the beneficiary list from time to time to make the scheme transparent. According to the information given on the official portal, there are two main reasons behind the deletion of names. The first reason is related to land ownership. The documents of those farmers who have got the land in their name after February 1, 2019, that is, they did not have cultivable land before that, are now being intensively scrutinized.
Another major reason for name deletion is taking advantage of many people in the same family. Many such cases have come to light where both husband and wife, or an adult and a minor member are taking money from this scheme together. As per the rules, this is completely wrong and such cases are being identified and strict action is being taken.
Will I get my pending installment money back?
It is clearly stated on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture that the benefits of beneficiaries in doubtful cases have been stopped for the time being. This ban will continue until their physical verification is completed. After completion of verification, if the farmer is found eligible by fulfilling all the conditions of the scheme, then the pending amount will be sent to his account.
Check your status like this before the 22nd installment
You can easily check your latest status to make sure whether your name is in the list or not. For this, first of all go to the official portal of PM Kisan. There, go to the ‘Farmers Corner’ present on the homepage and click on the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option. After this enter your Aadhar number, bank account number or mobile number. Finally, after entering the captcha code and clicking on ‘Get Status’, the complete information will appear on the screen.
When will the next installment come to the account?
Now the biggest question is that by when will Rs 2,000 of the 22nd installment of the scheme be transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers. Although no official announcement has been made by the government yet, but according to media reports, this money can be released in the first week of March or just before the festival of Holi.
