Renault previously announced it will introduce a new compact SUV, the Bridger, in India, with multiple powertrain options: petrol, petrol hybrid and EV. And the Bridger will also be the brand’s first electric SUV for the Indian market. As Renault and Nissan are in collaboration, we expect Nissan to bring in its own version of the Bridger. This Nissan compact SUV will be introduced with a slew of new features, a boxy and rugged design, and potent powertrain options. Renault also hinted that the Bridger is an off-road-capable SUV and that it will likely be offered in 4X4 form, as its RGMP platform can accommodate it. That said, let’s dive into the design and features of this Nissan SUV.

Much like the Bridger, we expect the Nissan SUV to sport a boxy stance complemented by sleek headlights. As of now, the design details of this Nissan SUV are still under wraps, but it is safe to say that it will be quite the looker. In terms of features, we expect Nissan to offer a twin-screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, a 360-degree camera and much more.

Much like Renault, Nissan will likely offer multiple powertrain options. These include a 1.2-litre turbo petrol, a 1.2-litre petrol hybrid and an electric powertrain. It will likely be Nissan’s first-ever electric SUV in India, further expanding its lineup. Renault mentioned that the Bridger could get 4X4, and we expect the same with the Nissan alternative. That said, we expect the Nissan SUV to carry a price tag ranging from Rs. 9 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Nissan could launch this SUV by 2028.
