At the inauguration of Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and Metro in Meerut, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described PM Modi as the architect of developed India. Projects worth Rs 12,930 crore were dedicated to the nation. Modern infrastructure and Digital India were appreciated.
Meerut. Yogi Adityanath described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the architect of new and modern India. He said that the Prime Minister’s ‘Developed India’ vision is being appreciated globally. The Chief Minister was addressing a program organized on the occasion of the inauguration of Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Rapid Rail Sampoorna Corridor and Meerut Metro at Mohiuddinpur in Meerut on Sunday. He said that the benefits of the Prime Minister’s schemes are reaching every section of the society including the poor, farmers, women and youth.
Strong foundation of developed India: Expansion of state-of-the-art infrastructure
The Chief Minister said that before Holi, Meerut has received the gift of Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and Metro. It is the strong foundation stone of developed India. Earlier, it used to take 4-5 hours to cover the distance from Meerut to Delhi and the problem of traffic jam was common. Today, due to 12 lane expressway, this distance is covered in 45-50 minutes. This time will be further reduced by Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and Meerut Metro. He said that modern and safe public transport through Namo Bharat, Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains is becoming the new identity of India. Recently, the foundation stone of semiconductor plant in Gautam Buddha Nagar is also a big step in this direction.
Appreciation of developed India vision on global platform
The Chief Minister said that representatives of more than 100 countries participated in the India AI Impact Summit held in New Delhi. During this, global leaders praised the Prime Minister’s vision and its effective implementation. Referring to the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron, he said that he appreciated the achievements of Digital India. Digital identity of 140 crore people and schemes like Ayushman Bharat are major achievements of India. The Chief Minister said that due to the foresight of the Prime Minister, the benefits of the government schemes are reaching every section without any discrimination.
PM’s working style: New system of monitoring and progress
CM Yogi said that the Prime Minister regularly reviews the development works. Recently he held the 50th review meeting of infrastructure projects. Earlier there was no such monitoring of big projects. He said that due to the initiative of the Prime Minister, projects worth Rs 85 lakh crore, pending for decades, have come on the ground in the last 10 years. A system like ‘Pragati’ has further accelerated the monitoring of development works.
Invitation to Major Dhyanchand Sports University and Jewar Airport
The Chief Minister mentioned the Major Dhyan Chand Sports University being built in Meerut, the foundation stone of which was laid by the Prime Minister. This university will be completely ready by April. He said that Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) is also almost ready and the state wishes that it should also be inaugurated by the Prime Minister. Also invited the Prime Minister for the foundation stone laying ceremony and inauguration of the new route of Noida Metro.
Salute to the revolutionary land of Meerut
Recalling the historical background of Meerut, the Chief Minister mentioned revolutionaries Dhan Singh Gurjar, Rao Kadam Singh, Shahmal and Matadin Valmiki. He said that this land has been witness to the first freedom struggle.
Development projects worth Rs 12,930 crore dedicated to the nation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated development projects worth Rs 12,930 crore to the nation from Meerut. He inaugurated NaMo Bharat section from Sarai Kale Khan to New Ashok Nagar (5 km) and Meerut South to Modipuram (21 km). Also gave the gift of Meerut Metro. The Prime Minister and the Chief Minister visited the exhibition and traveled in the metro from Meerut South to Shatabdi Nagar. During this, the Prime Minister also interacted with disabled children, students and other passengers.
