‘One Battle After Another’ dominated the Bafta Awards Winners List 2026, which won many major awards including Best Film and Director. India’s ‘Boong’ created history by winning the Best Children and Family Film. ‘Sinners’ and ‘Hamnet’ were also big winners.

This time the stage of the 79th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA 2026) held at the Royal Festival Hall in London witnessed the celebration of glamour, glory and global cinema. Hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the ceremony was anchored by famous host Alan Cumming. Many stars including Alia Bhatt, Emma Stone and Kate Hudson caught everyone’s attention with their style on the red carpet. At BAFTA 2026, awards were given to the best films and artists of the past year, where the strength of international cinema was clearly visible.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s political thriller One Battle After Another won big awards like Best Film, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay out of 14 nominations. Ryan Coogler’s vampire drama Sinners won for Original Screenplay, while Wunmi Mosaku won Best Supporting Actress. Chloe Zhao’s Hamnet was named Outstanding British Film and Jessie Buckley won the Leading Actress award. The special thing was that Indian film Boong created history by winning the Best Children and Family Film.
