CM Vishnu Dev Sai attended the 80th convention of Manva Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj in village Champa of Baloda Bazar. He reiterated the government’s commitment on education, women empowerment, farmers’ welfare and Bastar development and announced funds for community building.

Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today participated in the two-day 80th general convention of Chhattisgarh Manwa Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj held in village Champa of Baloda Bazar district. The program started by paying tribute to freedom fighter and social reformer Dr. Khubchand Baghel on his death anniversary by observing two minutes silence. The Chief Minister paid tribute to the eminent personalities of the society by paying floral tributes. On this occasion, he was warmly welcomed by garlanding him.

Chief Minister Shri Sai described the Manwa Kurmi community as a hard-working, organized and advanced farming tradition. He said that the contribution of the society has been important in the progress of Chhattisgarh. Congratulating the 80th General Conference, he said that such events promote reconciliation, coordination and positive decisions in the society. The entire state and country benefits from this. The Chief Minister said that it was a privilege for him to participate in this program organized in Champa, the home village of Revenue and Higher Education Minister Shri Tankaram Verma.

Emphasis on education, women empowerment and de-addiction

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that education is the foundation of a strong and self-reliant society. He appreciated the efforts of the society to connect both sons and daughters with education. He said that only an educated society becomes a progressive society. He also praised the efforts of promoting women’s self-employment, making youth aware about de-addiction and social reform.

Government committed to fulfill PM Modi’s guarantee

The Chief Minister said that the state government is working with full commitment to fulfill the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He informed that 18 lakh Prime Minister’s houses have been completed in the state. This year, more than 141 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 25 lakh 24 thousand farmers at support price. Before Holi, a differential amount of about Rs 10 thousand crore will be provided to the farmers. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, an amount of more than Rs 15 thousand crore has been given to 70 lakh women so far.

Resolve to end Naxalism and development in Bastar

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that now a new picture of development is visible in Bastar region. As per the resolution of the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister, the government is working strongly to completely eliminate Naxalism by March 2026. Development works have been accelerated in about 400 villages through the Niyad Nellar Scheme.

Announcement of financial assistance for construction of community building

On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced Rs 50 lakh for the construction of a community building in village Nardaha and Rs 25 lakh for the construction of a community building in Baloda Bazaar. In the program, Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, there has been significant development in the state in the last two years and many public welfare schemes have been implemented for farmers, women and youth. Central President of the society Shri Khodas Ram Verma gave information about important decisions related to social reform. Rajim MLA Shri Rohit Sahu along with a large number of society officials, women and youth were present in the programme.
