Gautam Adani, the country’s veteran industrialist and chairman of Adani Group, reached Deoghar in Jharkhand on Sunday. Here he paid obeisance at the world famous Baba Baidyanath Dham temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and performed Jalabhishek of Lord Bholenath as per the rituals. Strict security arrangements were made for his visit.
The priests conducted the puja with chanting of mantras in the sanctum sanctorum of the Baba temple. While speaking to the media after the darshan, Gautam Adani said – I had a long-standing desire to come to Baba Dham and have darshan of Mahadev. I have found immense peace after coming here. I have sought blessings from Lord Bholenath for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the entire country including Jharkhand.
Meeting with MP Nishikant Dubey
After offering prayers in the temple, Gautam Adani went straight to the residence of Godda MP Nishikant Dubey. Many meanings are being inferred from this courtesy meeting between the two. It is said that during this period informal talks were also held on the development and industrial projects of the area.
Pirpainti Power Plant of Bihar
Along with the religious journey, this tour is also very important from the industrial point of view. After leaving Deoghar, Gautam Adani left for Pirpainti in Bhagalpur district of Bihar. Here, ‘Ultra Super Critical Thermal Power Plant’ with 2400 MW capacity is proposed by Adani Group. He will take stock of the progress of this ambitious project.
There were strong security arrangements
Considering the sensitivity of Gautam Adani, heavy police force was deployed on the entire temple complex and route. The district administration had made special arrangements to ensure that the common devotees do not face any inconvenience and there is no lapse in security.
