Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving forward as a global economic superpower by setting new paradigms of overall development. In this sequence, laying the foundation stone of India Chip, North India’s first semiconductor project with an investment of more than Rs 3700 crore in Jewar located in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YIDA) area, with the blessings of the Prime Minister, is a matter of pride for the state. The Chief Minister said that the security and development of the 21st century economy depends on chip-based technology and this visionary thinking is giving a new direction to India today. The Chief Minister said that this joint venture of HCL and Foxconn, under which the first Display Driver Semiconductor OSAT unit is being established, is very important. During the previous governments, this area was known for lawlessness and insecurity, where people were hesitant to leave their homes after sunset. Today, the same Jewar region, under the guidance and visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, is emerging as the ‘jeweller’ not only of Uttar Pradesh but of the entire India. Today, the state’s first Display Driver Semiconductor OSAT unit has been established here and is working to carry forward this new vision.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude by appreciating the contribution of Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnav and Jitin Prasad. Also, the cooperation given by public representatives, MPs, MLAs and Annadata farmers along with Yamuna Authority was said to be the basis for the success of this project. He said that it is this positive role, due to which today this area is being established as a big hub of mobile manufacturing and electronic components. Uttar Pradesh becomes dream destination for investment

The Chief Minister said that after forming the government in 2017, the double engine government has continuously carried forward development programs in the state. Uttar Pradesh has made the state a dream destination for investment through more than 34 sectoral policies. Uttar Pradesh is today establishing itself as a leading state in the country in de-regulation and ease of doing business. Under de-criminalization, more than 13 percent of criminal provisions in 99 state acts have been abolished in Uttar Pradesh. The Prime Minister’s vision seems to be effectively implemented in every sector.

The Chief Minister said that today when the foundation stone of HCL-Foxconn’s first semiconductor project is being laid, it is not just an industrial unit but a symbol of the technological self-reliance of the new India and the new Uttar Pradesh.
