ICC T20 World Cup 2026: Bangladesh cricket team is not a part of T20 World Cup 2026. Due to increasing political tension with India, Bangladesh had decided not to send its team to India. Due to which ICC had included Scotland in the tournament instead of Bangladesh. This controversy is not stopping in Bangladesh. Bangladesh cricket team’s assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin has made serious allegations against former sports advisor Asif Nazrul and called him a ‘liar’.
Big revelation of Bangladeshi coach
In fact, former sports advisor Asif Nazrul had cited security reasons as the reason for not sending the team to India. But just before leaving the post, he had said that this decision was of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the players. After which there was a huge uproar and the players came under the scanner. But now the team’s assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin has spoken openly on this issue. Salahuddin told journalists, ‘Asif Nazrul told a blatant lie. I am also a teacher and teachers generally lie less. I really can’t imagine that he would lie so openly. How will I show my face to the players? He took a complete U-turn. We cannot accept this. He first said something and later retracted his statement.
Players were shocked
Salauddin said that the players were disappointed to know about being out of the T20 World Cup. Salahuddin said, ‘See, when a boy goes to play in the World Cup, he takes his 27-year-old dream with him. You end that dream in a second. Well, if it is a decision of the country taken for national reasons, then he will sacrifice for the country. But if you talk about loss, I will only talk about personal loss. Personally, you completely ruined a guy’s dream.
Mohammad Salahuddin further said, ‘I know that two of my players went into a mental coma for five days, were completely lost. I am also ready to sacrifice a lot for the country and the boys are also ready. But have I ever put my hand on a boy’s head and said, ‘Son, you couldn’t play because of this?’ If things had been told properly, I think many things could have been believed.
