The woman has given birth to a baby girl, but her condition remains critical.

The matter is of Nandwal village of Bondi police station area. Nankai, 38, lives with her four sons – Nivas (16), Diwan (12), Ravi (8) and Rohan (5). Her husband died of illness about six months ago. Between family responsibilities and the last stage of pregnancy, she suddenly started labor pain at around 1.30 pm on Thursday afternoon. There was no one present at home at that time. The children had gone to play in the village.

Unbearable pain and attempts at self-harm

According to local people, when the pain increased, the woman picked up a knife kept in the house and seriously injured herself. Hearing the screams, neighbors reached the spot and found her in a pool of blood. Confirming the incident, District Hospital CMS N.N. Tripathi told that the woman had a deep wound on her stomach and her intestines had come out. He was brought to the emergency of the district hospital at 3:20 pm.

First CHC, then district hospital and Lucknow referral

Neighbors took the woman to the Community Health Center with the help of an ambulance, where doctors immediately delivered her. She gave birth to a baby girl. However, proper treatment of the serious wound on the stomach was not possible there. After first aid he was sent to the district hospital. When his condition did not improve, the doctors referred him to Lucknow Trauma Center. His mother Neeta also accompanied him in the ambulance.

According to family members, after regaining consciousness the woman said that the pain was so intense that she was unable to bear it. Doctors say that extreme pain during delivery is normal, but in such a situation, immediate medical help is necessary. According to medical experts, pregnant women are advised to have regular check-ups before delivery and institutional delivery, so that they can get immediate treatment in case of emergency.
