Pakistan’s work spoiled 24 hours before the match
Actually, continuous rain in Colombo has had a big impact on the preparations of Pakistan cricket team. Just a day before playing against New Zealand, Pakistan’s practice session had to be completely cancelled. According to reports, the Pakistan team had about a three-hour training session at the R Premadasa Stadium on Friday, which could not take place due to rain, due to which the team could not get any net practice before the match.

The biggest concern before the match is the weather in Colombo. According to weather forecasts, the risk of rain on February 21 is very high. There is a possibility of cloudy sky throughout the day and in the evening, when the match starts, the probability of rain is said to be more than 50%. According to Sri Lankan time, more than 50% rainfall has been predicted from 2 pm to 5 pm. Light rain may also occur around 7 pm. Which may affect the competition.
Let us tell you, if it rains during the match, the overs can be reduced. If one team bats the entire 20 overs and it rains during the batting of the other team, then a new target will be given according to the Duckburth-Lewis Method. The umpires will try their best to get the result, because every match in the Super-8 round is very important and there is no provision of reserve day in Super 8. If the match is completely canceled, both the teams will get 1 point each.
