This is an impressive figure, especially for a Hollywood film catering to the niche horror genre. On its opening day, the film amassed an estimated Rs 17.5 crore, including Rs 10 crore from English shows, Rs 6.35 from Hindi versions and Rs 1.15 crore from Tamil and Telugu versions. With this solid run, the film’s two-day net collection has reached Rs 35 crore in India.

With this impressive feat, The Conjuring: Last Rites has become the seventh-highest Hollywood grosser in India, trailing right behind Evil Dead Rise (Rs 36.50 crore). Overseas, early estimates have place international earnings at around Rs 125 crore, taking its global collection to almost Rs 250 crore in just two days of the release.
