‘Snakes were not poisonous’, SC rebuked Elvish Yadav’s argument. Elvish Yadav Supreme Court Rebuke Snake Venom Case Wildlife Protection Act Noida Rave Party Hearing

The Supreme Court has reprimanded Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav. The top court said – despite being a public figure, he does not care about his social messages.

Elvish Yadav news: YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 winner Elvish Yadav was this week reprimanded by the Supreme Court for allegedly using snake venom at a rave party. While hearing his petition against the complaint lodged against him under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, the court admonished him for giving a wrong message to the society and using the dumb animals.

According to PTI, the bench asked, “If popular celebrities are allowed to use mute prey like snakes, it will send a very bad message to the society. If you do business with snakes, have you dealt with them?” Asked Elvish’s lawyer, “Can you go to the zoo and play with the animals there? Wouldn’t it be a crime? You can’t say you will do whatever you want. We are worried about the complaint under the Wildlife (Protection) Act.”

Elvis Yadav claimed that snakes are not poisonous

Senior advocate Mukta Gupta appeared for Elvis and said that the YouTuber had attended the party as a guest for a video of singer Fazilpuriya. He also argued that there is no evidence of a rave party or consumption of any banned psychoactive substances. It was also claimed in court that Alvis was not present at that fixed position, and that medical reports showed that the nine snakes examined were not venomous.

But, the government lawyer said that the police had seized nine snakes, including five cobras. Snake venom suspected to be used in rave parties was found there. During this, SC asked the government lawyer to explain the process of extracting snake venom and using it in parties. The next hearing will be held on March 19.

Elvish Yadav arrested in snake poison case

Elvish was booked for alleged use of snake venom at a rave party in Noida, Uttar Pradesh in November 2023 and was arrested in March 2024. Last year, the trial court proceedings against the YouTuber were stayed. In the High Court, Elvish’s lawyers had argued that no snakes, narcotics or psychotropic substances were recovered. It was also argued that since he was a ‘well-known influencer’ and had appeared in several reality TV shows, his inclusion in the FIR had attracted ‘media attention’.
