Joginder Kaur lived alone in her house in Bham village of Chabbewal area. On Wednesday evening, his body was found in an iron trunk (box) kept in the house. Police said that there were injury marks on his head. Police suspect that the murderer may be a resident of the same village.
According to the police, a person who used to deliver milk to grandmother’s house every evening came there on Wednesday. He saw that the milk bottle kept at the door was the same as it was from last evening. When he became suspicious, he informed his neighbors. After this the neighbors went inside the house and started searching for Joginder Kaur. During the search, his body was found inside an iron box kept in the house.
In this case, the police have registered an FIR against a person named Daniel, resident of the same village. He is currently absconding. Police say that preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused had entered the house with the intention of theft. He killed the woman during an attempted robbery. Police said that a case has been registered against the accused under sections 103 (punishment for murder) and 331(3) (house breaking or house-breaking with intent to commit crime) of the Indian Justice Code.
