Mahakaleshwar Online Booking: Now booking of evening and bed aarti will be completely online in Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple of Ujjain. An important decision has been taken in the direction of making the system of darshan more accessible and transparent at the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling located on the holy land of Ujjain. The Temple Management Committee has now made the booking process of Baba Mahakal’s ‘Sandhya Aarti’ and ‘Shayan Aarti’ completely online. This decision will provide great convenience to the devotees coming from India and abroad.

Now devotees will be able to ensure their place for Aarti only through the official website of the temple.

  • Online booking for Sandhya Aarti will start from 12:00 noon daily.
  • Booking for Shayan Aarti can be done daily from 4:00 pm onwards.

A fee of ₹ 250 per devotee has been fixed for both the aartis, which is equivalent to a quick darshan. The entire process will operate on ‘first come, first served’ basis. The temple committee says that digitalization will not only increase transparency but will also control long queues and chaos.

Important information related to admission and timings

Devotees attending the Aarti will be given entry from entrance number 1 only.

  • Entry for evening aarti is mandatory by 6:00 pm.
  • Entry for Shayan Aarti will be available only till 10:00 pm.

The committee has clarified that entry will not be possible after the scheduled time, hence devotees will have to take special care of the time.

Moving darshan will continue even during aarti

The temple administration has also clarified that the system of ‘chalit darshan’ during the aarti will continue as before. This means that the devotees who have not been able to book the Aarti online will also be able to have darshan of Baba Mahakal while walking in the normal queue. This arrangement is a relief news for thousands of devotees who make sudden travel plans or are unable to attend the aarti due to non-availability of slots.
