A young man wearing a burqa, was caught sitting among women at Korutla bus stand in Jagtial district of Telangana, Tv9 Telugu reported. Bus stand staff identified him as a male and questioned him but he reportedly refused to answer and laughed it off.
Korutla Sub-Inspector Chiranjeevi told the media that the man was wearing a burqa to make videos for Instagram. “The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon at Korutla bus station. The man wearing a burqa is identified as Mohammed Numan. He came with his friend Mohammed Akeel to make Instagram reels,” he said.
Numan makes videos with friend for social media:
Numan, 21, raised suspicion among commuters when he sat in the women’s bus section at the bus stand. The RTC constable immediately noticed that he was a man and immediately notified the police.
The police said that Numan made similar videos in the past with Akeel for social media. Numan’s father owns a hotel in Paidimadugu village in Korutla mandal.
Numan and Akeel were booked for a bailable, non-cognizable offence under section 292 of the BNS and 290 of the IPC, both related to public nuisance, punishable by fine.
