Experts believe that e-rickshaws have a light structure and do not have a strong body like a conventional auto or car. Most e-rickshaws do not even have features like seat belts, side protection or advanced braking systems. In such a situation, there is a risk of sharp turn, imbalance or overturning on the roadside slope.
Additionally, the formal training and licensing process for drivers is also not strictly enforced in many places. If there is no understanding of speed control, correct use of indicators, balanced use of horn and safe driving amidst traffic, the risk of an accident increases.
