Neha Singh, while talking to PTI, clarified that the university never said that it had created this robot itself. According to him, ‘Orion’ was brought only for the students to watch and learn. He told that in the intense atmosphere of the summit, some people misinterpreted his excited manner. Neha also said that she had no knowledge of the university skipping the event under any government order and that her representatives were present there.

Who is Neha Singh, educational and professional background
Neha Singh is at Galgotias University since November 2023 and she is the Head of Department (HOD) of Communication. Prior to this, she has been an Assistant Professor at Sharda University, Greater Noida and a Verbal Ability Mentor at Career Launcher. Apart from this, he has also taught at Geetam University. Neha did MBA from Devi Ahilya University in the year 2006 and before that she took B.Com degree from Allahabad University. Their main work is in communication and soft skills, not technical AI robotics.

Galgotias University issued official statement
Seeing the growing controversy, Galgotias University issued an official statement. The institute termed it as ‘disinformation’ and said that the demonstration of the robotic dog was only to introduce students to AI programming. The university made it clear that their aim is to expose students to global technology and prepare them as future AI talents. Neha Singh also reiterated that no confusion was intentionally created regarding the origin of the robot. Their main objective was to motivate students to learn and experiment through modern AI tools.
