An Instagram user named karan_dhanju26 has posted this video. He told that this incident happened when he was eating Golgappa on the roadside with his friend. While eating Golgappa, he saw a strange creature writhing in the pot of water containing the spices of Panipuri. Immediately the Panipuri seller tried to take out the rat with his bare hands. Then the rat escaped and jumped out of the pot and ran away. Due to this, the people eating Panipuri there were shocked and scared. In the video, people are also seen asking the seller to throw away the dirty food immediately.
It is not yet clear whether the rat had been in the pot for a long time or had fallen in just moments before being spotted. Within a few moments of being posted on social media, this video has been viewed by millions of people. People are discussing how the cleanliness is before eating street food on the roadside. People have demanded that action should be taken against this street food vendor who is playing with the health of others by not maintaining necessary cleanliness in the food.
This incident is proof of how well roadside vendors adhere to food safety under the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Street vendors must follow hygiene guidelines, including proper food storage, pest control measures and hygiene habits. But here only a big rat was swimming in the food.
Food that has come in contact with rats can be very dangerous. Rats spread harmful bacteria and germs that can contaminate food and water. Eating such food can increase the risk of stomach infection and other diseases. Therefore, if you want to eat on the roadside, then first pay attention to the quality and cleanliness of the food there.
