Ankit Sharma Murder Case: Aam Aadmi Party and BJP are again face to face due to Delhi’s famous Ankit Sharma Murder Case. Whereas the court has convicted Tahir Hussain. Nevertheless, after a long silence, Kejriwal took a U-turn and gave a strong reply.
New Delhi: In the Tahir Hussain case, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has given a measured response. Delhi’s Karkardooma Court on Monday convicted former AAP councilor Tahir Hussain in a case related to Delhi riots. Since this decision, BJP has been attacking AAP and Arvind Kejriwal, but big leaders of AAP have largely maintained silence on this.
Kejriwal said a big thing after the court’s decision
- In response to the Karkardooma court decision and attacks from BJP leaders, AAP issued a written statement on Monday night and a tweet by Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday. But no video statement or press conference has been made by the party.
- Meanwhile, when AAP’s Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan was asked on the matter, he simply said that the decision has come from the Sessions Court and it is expected that it will be appealed in the High Court from where justice is expected.
Tahir Hussain is the leader of Owaisi’s party, not you?
- AAP leaders are shunning the matter by saying that the party had suspended Tahir Hussain immediately after the riots. AAP is also saying in its defense that Tahir Hussain had contested the last Delhi Assembly elections as a candidate of Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM. Arvind Kejriwal also responded to BJP in a post on the same issue.
- Responding to BJP leader Amit Malviya’s attack, Kejriwal wrote on social media platform ‘X’, “We had expelled him from AAP long ago. Hadn’t he joined any associate organization of the Chanda Chor party?”
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta asked Kejriwal a question?
- On Tuesday evening, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party on this issue and targeted Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia. He asked, “Will Arvind Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh answer how many more such conspiracies have they hatched to incite riots in Delhi?” However, Aam Aadmi Party has not yet responded to these allegations.
- Issuing a written statement on the matter on Tuesday evening, the Aam Aadmi Party said, “Within hours of the FIR being registered against Tahir Hussain in the 2020 Delhi riots case, AAP had suspended him from the primary membership of the party on February 27, 2020. Since then he has had nothing to do with AAP.”
