On Harela festival, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami planted trees in Pauri, inspected Dhanvantari Dham and talked about promoting medicinal plants, herbal tourism and science city.

Pauri Garhwal. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Pauri Garhwal on Tuesday on the occasion of Harela festival. Here he participated in the ongoing large-scale tree plantation campaign in Malgram of Yamkeshwar block. Giving the message of environmental protection and making Uttarakhand more green, the Chief Minister himself planted a sapling.

Inspected Shri Dhanvantari Dham Herbal World Himalaya, took information about rare herbs

During this visit, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also inspected Shri Dhanwantari Dham Herbal World Himalaya. He took detailed information about the collection of rare herbs preserved here, ongoing scientific research and new experiments based on Ayurveda. Along with this, he also inspected the meditation hut built in the campus.

Uttarakhand’s biodiversity and medicinal plants declared invaluable heritage of the world

Chief Minister Dhami appreciated the rich bio-diversity of Uttarakhand, the medicinal plants found in the Himalayan regions and the traditional Ayurvedic knowledge. He said that this natural heritage of the state is priceless not only for India but for the entire world. He said that the need of the hour is to conserve these resources and promote scientific research. This will give new impetus to environmental protection as well as cultivation of medicinal plants, Ayurveda based research and herbal tourism. Besides this, new employment and self-employment opportunities will also be developed for the local youth.

The country’s unique herbal park is being built – Shri Dhanvantari Dham Herbal World Himalaya.

Shri Dhanvantari Dham Herbal World located in Malgram is a unique herbal park of its kind in the Himalayan country. Here, rare herbs and medicinal plants brought from different states and Himalayan regions are being conserved and promoted scientifically. This center is rapidly developing as an important institute combining traditional medical practices with modern scientific research.

Planted saplings with Baba Ramdev, gave message of green Uttarakhand

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev also planted a sapling in the Shri Dhanwantari Dham complex. On this occasion, both of them stressed the importance of environmental protection, green development and conservation of medicinal plants.

Also review of Science City Project and Science-Technology Policy

Earlier, Chief Minister Dhami inspected the Science City project under construction at Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (UCOST). He also participated in the Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (STIP) symposium.
