Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated a 500-seat open theater built at a cost of Rs 27 lakh at Jhumka tourist spot in Koriya district. He inspected the tourism facilities by doing shikara boating in Jhumka reservoir and laid emphasis on tourism development.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, during his stay in Koriya district, formally inaugurated the open theater built by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department at the famous Jhumka tourist spot in Baikunthpur. During this, he visited Jhumka Reservoir and observed the tourism facilities developed there.

Chief Minister Shri Sai went boating in Jhumka reservoir on Shikara. Decorated with greenery all around, calm water bodies and lotus flowers, this delightful place is becoming a center of attraction for tourists. He took information about boating, water sports and other developed tourism activities and appreciated the arrangements. Jhumka Reservoir is now fast emerging as a major picnic spot.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the open theater built at a cost of about Rs 27 lakh. This open theater with a seating capacity of 500 spectators will become a new center for cultural programs and local events. This will promote cultural activities in the area and will also give a new direction to tourism.
Tourism development will get a boost in Chhattisgarh
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that Jhumka Reservoir is not only the identity of Korea district, but it is a symbol of the immense potential of tourism in the entire Chhattisgarh. He said that the state government is continuously working for the development, beautification of tourist places and expansion of modern facilities, so that Chhattisgarh can be included among the major tourist destinations of the country. The Chief Minister directed the officials to take special care of the safety, cleanliness and facilities of the tourists. Besides, employment opportunities should be provided to the local youth by connecting them with tourism activities.
