Union Minister and BJP leader Ashwini Vaishnav, while addressing a press conference at the party headquarters on Saturday, told reporters that the recently launched next generation GST reforms started about one and a half years ago and has nothing to do with any external factor. He clearly said that GST reforms will directly benefit the common people.
He was asked whether GST reforms have any direct connection with the tariff imposed by Trump on Indian goods. Vaishnav said, “Preparations for GST reforms started about one and a half years ago… It started before the US elections. This GST reform will start the journey of change in the country.”
He said that common people will benefit from GST reform. The life of the people will improve. PM’s middle class is loyal to the people. Middle class will get relief in GST.
PM’s loyalty shows towards middle class
He said that PM’s loyalty to middle class is seen from time to time. In the first income tax, a slab of 12 lakhs was brought for the middle class. Now the improvement in GST has brought relief for 140 crore people.
Ashwini Vaishnav said that before 2014 there was a tax of tax in India, a big reform has taken place. The tax burden on electronics has decreased, tax has been reduced on all the goods used in the house. He said that the PM had given confidence to the country from the Red Fort that the upcoming 22nd will bring new happiness for all the countrymen.
The Union Minister said that GST reforms will increase the economic activities of the country and save about 20 thousand crores. Feedback is coming from all over the country. He said that in the last 11 years, electronic production in India has increased by 6 times. Forget the old things of Congress, now it is self -sufficient India.
Those who do health insurance will get benefit
The Union Minister said that the health insurance company has been asked, the GST rate which has been abolished, will get the full benefit of the person taking the insurance. The Finance Minister has made it clear that if a company does not do this, then action will be taken on it.
He gave an estimated calculation to what extent this GST improvement can promote the consumption of the country. Extensive changes have been made in what the government has said as the GST (Goods and Services Tax) rationalization of the next generation. This came a few days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement from the ramparts of the Red Fort on Independence Day.
The Union Minister said that its purpose is to reduce the tax burden on citizens by encouraging economic development. The GST Council approved the significant rate deduction in many areas, which the government has described as Diwali for the nation.
