Expert opinion
According to dietitian Mohini Dongre, even water is not drunk during fasting throughout the day, hence it is very important to take small precautions during Iftar. Many times people make some mistakes, due to which problems like acidity, bloating, vomiting and nausea can occur.
drink lots of water
Water is not drunk throughout the day during Roza. In such a situation, the first mistake people make at the time of Iftar is that they drink a lot of water or drink very cold water, due to which your stomach can become heavy and you start feeling like vomiting. At the time of Iftar, drink some water as per need and sip it while sitting comfortably.

drinking market drinks
It is beneficial to drink natural drinks during Iftar, because they help in digestion, but soda or carbonated drinks should be avoided. This can cause swelling in your stomach. Instead of this, lemon water is best which does not make you feel heaviness and also provides energy.
eat spicy heavy food
During Ramadan, people make a lot of preparations for Iftar. Many different types of dishes are prepared, but keep in mind that do not eat too much fried food and spicy food should also be eaten in limited quantity, otherwise it can cause problems like acidity, bloating etc.
eat a lot of sweet things
During Ramadan, be it Sehri or Iftar, a lot of sweet things are prepared, from vermicelli to kheer or many other types of desserts, but try not to eat too many sweets. This causes great harm to health. At the same time, if you eat excessive amount of sweets every day, it can also increase your weight.
don’t walk
A lot of household work is also done during Ramadan. Because of this, people get tired by evening and have to get up early in the morning, hence people start taking rest immediately after Iftar, but this mistake can become the cause of stomach ache. Actually, due to this the food is not digested properly. Try to take a walk for at least 20 minutes after 5 to 10 minutes of Iftar or sit in Vajrasana.
