Mumbai Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a meeting on important issues with French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai on Tuesday 17 February. The objective of this bilateral meeting is to further strengthen the strategic partnership between India and France. The two leaders discussed various issues of mutual interest and emphasized on increasing cooperation. It is believed that during this meeting, a big defense deal worth about Rs 3.25 lakh crore can be signed between India and France, under which India will get 114 Rafale fighter jets.
Emphasis on strengthening India-France relations
During the meeting, talks were held between the two countries to increase cooperation on defence, trade, technology and global issues. Prime Minister Modi and President Macron reiterated their commitment to give new strength to Delhi-Paris relations and further broaden the future partnership.
President Macron’s visit to India from 17-19 February
President Emmanuel Macron is on an official visit to India from 17 to 19 February at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi. During this, he participated in the bilateral summit held in Mumbai.
Participation in AI Impact Summit in Delhi
As part of his tour, President Macron will also visit Delhi. There he will participate in the AI Impact Summit organized by India. In this summit, global issues and future possibilities related to Artificial Intelligence will be discussed.
