CM Yogi enumerated the achievements of the government on law and order, economic progress, agricultural development and cultural heritage in the Legislative Council. He said that the rule of law has been strengthened in UP, the economy has grown rapidly and heritage is being respected along with development.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took part in the discussion of the motion of thanks on the Governor’s address in the Legislative Council on Monday. During this, he expressed strong objection to the behavior shown by the opposition towards the Governor and said that it is everyone’s duty to respect constitutional posts. Regarding law and order, he said that now there is “no curfew, no riot” in the state, but everything is fine in UP.
Governor’s respect is necessary for strengthening democracy
The Chief Minister said that the Governor is the constitutional head of the state. Indecent behavior towards them weakens both democracy and the constitutional system. He said that respecting national symbols and constitutional positions sets the right example for the coming generations.
Rule of law and changed image of UP
The Chief Minister said that in the last years, Uttar Pradesh has traveled from crime and lawlessness to discipline and rule of law. He said that earlier the identity of the state was associated with riots, curfew and chaos, whereas now there is an atmosphere of development, celebration and trust.
New model of technology, trust and transformation
The Chief Minister said that the state is now emerging as a balanced model of technology, trust and change. Under this thinking, priority has been given to transparency in governance, digital systems and development plans.
New direction for development due to policy changes
He said that before 2017 there was administrative laxity and anti-development environment. Now the state has got a new identity due to clear policy, strong leadership and good governance. Investment, employment and social security schemes have gained momentum.
The transition from crime to celebration territory
The Chief Minister said that earlier there was a situation like “one district one mafia”, goonda tax and illegal collection was common. Now the rule of law has been established, police recruitment has increased, special attention has been paid to the safety of women and modern policing has been promoted.
Religious events and strong identification with faith
He said that pilgrimage places like Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura-Vrindavan have developed. The increasing number of devotees in big religious events is a sign of confidence in the system and security.
Emphasis on heritage and patriotism
The Chief Minister said that it is important to be proud of India’s cultural heritage. He described respect for the national anthem, national symbols and historical heritage as important for the country.
UP economy and growth in GSDP
The Chief Minister said that in 2017, the GSDP of the state was about Rs 13 lakh crore, which has now increased to about Rs 36 lakh crore. The economic situation has been strengthened by revenue discipline and prevention of tax evasion without imposing additional taxes.
Progress in agriculture, industry and investment
He said that Uttar Pradesh is the largest food grain producing state in the country. Farmers’ income has increased due to technology in agriculture, MSP purchase, DBT payment and agri startups. Besides, investment and industrial development has also been promoted.
Special focus on farmers and rural economy
The Chief Minister said that farmers are being provided with advanced seeds, drone technology, natural farming and technical information. Agriculture is being made value-addition based through food processing, FPOs and agri startups.
Achievements in sugarcane, dairy and agriculture industries
He said that record payments have been made to sugarcane farmers. There has been a huge increase in ethanol production. The state is also becoming a leader in milk production and fisheries.
Strong modern policing and security infrastructure
The Chief Minister said that the security system has been strengthened through police recruitment, cyber cell, forensic lab and safe city projects. There has also been a significant increase in the women police force.
