Generally, the biggest problem seen during train travel is related to cleanliness. Now monitoring of cleanliness work in trains has started through AI. Laxman Jain, Chief Project Engineer at Railway Information Centre, told in a special conversation with TV9 Bharatvarsh that now cleanliness in trains will be monitored through AI. He said that such AI-based cleaning system has been started in 100 trains of the country on an experimental basis.
It is noteworthy that Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had recently claimed that the same cleanliness as is maintained in first class AC coaches will now be ensured in general class also.
How will the cleaning be done?
Laxman Jain told that first of all the cleaning staff has to click their photo and upload it on the app as soon as they board the train. After this, a photo of the toilet he is cleaning has to be taken and uploaded. Even after cleaning the toilet, it is mandatory to send its picture.
How does AI do monitoring?
After the picture is sent by the staff, AI analyzes that picture. After this it decides whether the toilet has been cleaned properly or not. If the AI feels that cleaning has not been done as per the set standards, it can warn the staff and can also be fined.
