Presented by Annapurna Studios, the film has earned over ₹60 crore worldwide in its opening weekend, receiving rave reviews from the audience.
Akhil expressed gratitude to the audience
Thanking the audience for showering love on the film, Akhil said in a press note, “The kind of overwhelming response I have received, the positivity I have received from the audience, and the respect they are giving me – yes, it is much, much more than the box office numbers.”
He further added that box office performance remains the biggest priority for the distribution network and producers, “but beyond that, it’s an emotional journey that has finally come to its conclusion.” He said, “For everyone who believed in me and everyone who wanted to see me win, this is their victory. The last three to four days have given so many people countless reasons to feel proud. Yes, the journey was worth it, and the real thing is this victory. I am incredibly relieved that all the people who supported me finally got their victory.”
Profitable deal for investors too
The actor further stressed that the film, directed by Murali Kishore Abburu and co-starring Bhagyashree Borse, has already emerged as a highly profitable venture for its investors. “Today, my distributors called me to tell me that the film has recovered its costs and they are profitable,” Akhil said. He said, “I can’t tell you what it means to me and everyone who believed in this project. It’s an emotional answer, but that’s the plain and simple truth.”
Set in the vibrant backdrop of Rayalaseema, the story revolves around a passionate hero who juggles family and political conflicts on his journey to build his legacy. S Thaman has given music in the film. (ANI)
