Anant Chaturdashi fast story
Anant chaturdashi katha: The special importance of Anant Chaturdashi has been told in Hinduism. This festival is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. On this day, the infinite form of Lord Vishnu is worshiped. It is believed that every devotee who observes eternal fast with true heart and listens to the story, every wish is fulfilled and all the troubles of life go away.
How did Anant fast begin?
According to mythological belief, once the Pandavas started having disasters. His Rajpat was snatched away and he wandered in exile. Then Draupadi narrated her agony to Lord Krishna. Sri Krishna said, “O Draupadi, the solution to your difficulties is in the infinite fast. With the effect of this fast, all your crises will be overcome and you will get Rajpat again.”
Story of Anant Vrat
According to the legend, it is a matter of time. Sumant and his wife Deeksha were a highly religious Brahmin couple. Sushila, the daughter of Sumant, was married to the sage Kaundinay. After marriage, when Sushila was going to her in -laws’ house with her husband, she saw women fasting on the banks of the river. He worshiped Lord Vishnu and tied a thread (infinite sutra) with 14 lumps in his hand.
Sushila also fasted at the same time and took the infinite sutra. She also narrated the story to her husband Kaundinay Rishi. The power of fasting brought happiness and prosperity in his life. But after some time, the thread started feeling superstitious to the gondinya. He got angry and threw the infinite sutra. Then a mountain of sorrows broke in his life one by one. All the property of the house was destroyed, the family was engulfed in crises. Kaundinay realized his mistake and he again started wandering in the forest and forests in search of the infinite sutra. Finally Lord Vishnu himself appeared and said that this is the fruit of your ego. Now if you observe infinite fast with true heart, then all your crises will be overcome. Kaundinay sage performed infinite fast by the rules mentioned by Lord Vishnu. Then all his crises were erased and happiness and peace in life returned.
Importance and worship method of fasting
On this day, the infinite form of Lord Vishnu is worshiped. After the puja, 14 lumps thread (infinite sutra) holds men in the right hand and women in the left hand. The symbol of this thread is – happiness, prosperity and progress till the last period. Hearing and donating the story is also considered a special virtuous on this day.
Fruit of infinite fasting
It is said in the scriptures that by listening to fast and story on Anant Chaturdashi, every kind of crisis is removed. Home tribulations disappear, poverty ends and the doors of luck open. This is the reason that the fast of this day is also called a fast that fulfills the desire. It is believed that if you read the story of Anant Vrat and remember the infinite form of Lord Vishnu, then every crisis of your life will gradually end and the doors of new possibilities will open.
