New Delhi: The most-awaited game of the ongoing T20 World Cup again ended in a one-sided manner, with Pakistan defeated by 61 runs at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, February 15.
Pakistan won the toss and invited India to bat first on a used pitch. The Men in Green’s skipper surprised everyone by opening the bowling attack for his side and stunned the Indian camp by removing Abhishek Sharma in the first over for a four-ball duck.
It was an Ishan Kishan stellar performance, which gave an explosive start as the southpaw scored 77 runs in just 40 balls. Apart from Kishan, no Indian batter left any impact as India posted 175 runs in 20 overs, whereas at the halfway mark, India were cruising on 90 runs, and Kishan’s performance gave a platform to cross the 200-run mark on a spin-friendly pitch.
In response, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah almost sealed the game for India in the first two overs as they removed Pakistan’s top-order in quick succession. The Men in Green were 13 for three at the end of two overs.
Hardik, Bumrah, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakaravarthy picked up two wickets each, whereas Kuldeep Yadav and Tilak Varma took one wicket each to skittle Pakistan’s innings in just 114 runs.

Jitna fark India aur Pakistan ki GDP me hai… usse kai jyada farak India aur Pakistan ki cricket me hai.
Pakistan wining a game vs India will be considered as an upset.. because at skill level Pakistan is a Minnow.
