Stambheshwar Mahadev Temple is in Gujarat. This temple is situated on the banks of the Gulf of Khambhat. The most surprising thing about this temple is that it completely gets immersed in the sea twice a day. The Shivalinga installed in this temple gets submerged in water. However, after a few hours, after the sea water recedes, the temple becomes visible again. It is said that here Samudra Dev himself performs Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva.
Laxmaneshwar Mahadev Temple
There is Lakshmaneshwar Mahadev Temple in Chhattisgarh. It is also called Lakshalinga, because the Shivalinga of this temple has small holes, the number of which is one lakh. One of these holes is called the door to the underworld. Not only this, whatever water is offered here dries up immediately. There is also a hole where it remains filled with water even in extreme heat.
Chaya Someshwar Temple
There is Chaya Someshwara Temple in Telangana. This temple is in Nalgonda district of the state. Its architecture is a puzzle for engineers. The Shivalinga in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple is always under the shadow of a pillar, but the surprising thing is that there is no such pillar near the Shivalinga, whose shadow can fall there.
Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple
Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple is in Dholpur, Rajasthan. This temple has a very unique feature. The Shivalinga installed here changes its color thrice. This temple looks red in the morning with the rays of the sun. It turns saffron in the afternoon and turns dark in the evening. Even today scientists are unable to find the reason behind this change.
Harihareshwar Temple
Harihareshwar temple is in Solapur, Maharashtra. The sculpture of this temple is unique and very mysterious. In the year 1999, a huge Shivalinga was found during excavation here. Shivalinga is about two meters high and weighs 4.5 tonnes. There are 359 faces carved on Shivalinga. Every facial expression is different from each other.
