Bengaluru (Karnataka) [भारत]July 14 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday said food service timings for hotels and restaurants in the city have been extended from 1.00 am to 3.30 am on July 14, 15 and 19, so that fans can watch the late night FIFA World Cup matches.

This decision has been taken after the request of National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI). The semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup are scheduled to take place on July 14 (local time) and July 15, 2026. In these matches, France will face Spain and England will face Argentina.

DK Shivakumar said in an ex post, “Football inspires millions of people across the world, and the FIFA World Cup is a celebration that fans eagerly wait for. Following a request from the National Restaurant Association of India, our government allowed hotels and restaurants in Bengaluru to extend food service timings from 1.00 am to 3.30 am on July 14, 15 and 19 to facilitate late night match screenings. Is.”

He further said, “This decision has been taken while ensuring public safety, law and order and convenience of citizens as our top priority. I request everyone to enjoy the matches responsibly and extend full cooperation to the authorities.”
