Both Ayurveda and Nutrition emphasize that the first diet of the morning should be light, nutritious and the body should be “awake”. 1 Warm water:
In Ayurveda, it is advisable to start the day with one or two glasses of lukewarm water. Drinking lemon juice and a little honey in it helps in extracting toxins from the body. It activates metabolism and also relieves constipation.
2 Wet Triphala or Cumin Water:
Drinking Triphala powder water or cumin water in the morning helps to detox the body. It cleans the liver and also relieves gas, acidity.
3 Soaked almonds and raisins:
Eating 45 almonds and some raisins soaked overnight is considered extremely nutritious in Ayurveda. Almonds are beneficial for the brain and raisins increase the level of iron and energy in the body.
Nutrition’s opinion: It is necessary to hydrate and energize the body in the morning
Nutrition experts believe that the body is dehydrated as soon as it wakes up in the morning and requires moisture and nutrition. Therefore, first of all, something should be given that the body gets energy and metabolism starts well.
1 Lemonade or detox drink:
Drinking lemon juice and a pinch of rock salt in lukewarm water is considered to be the best beginning of the morning. It rehydrates the body, balances electrolyte and supports the liver.
2 Wet Chia seeds water or fenugreek water:
Chia seeds contain fiber and omega-3 fatty acids which help to keep the stomach clean. At the same time, fenugreek water is considered good for digestion and also controls blood sugar level.
3 Fruits or Dry Fruits:
Some neutritionists recommend eating seasonal fruits (such as papaya, apple, banana) or dried fruits in the morning. It gives the body natural sugar, fiber and micronutrients which helps to stay active throughout the day.
Do not eat these things on an empty stomach
tea or coffee: Drinking tea on an empty stomach can cause acidity and gas problems. This also suppresses hunger and affects the digestive system.
Fridge: By taking cold things in the morning, digestion slows down and the natural heat of the body is affected.
Germ: Taking heavy food on an empty stomach put pressure on the digestive system and feels tired.
