The Chief Minister inspected the Tal Ring Road project being built on the banks of Ramgarhtal in Gorakhpur. Instructed officials to eliminate traffic congestion, improve drainage and prevent waterlogging on the roads. This 4.20 km long road is likely to be completed by May 2026.

Gorakhpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given clear instructions to the officials that there should not be any traffic jam or congestion situation in any part of the Tal Ring Road. He said that wherever any kind of obstacle or problem is seen, it should be removed in time. Besides, it should also be ensured that water does not accumulate anywhere on the road, so that people do not face problems.

4.20 km long Tal Ring Road project being built on the banks of Ramgarhtal

On Saturday evening, the Chief Minister inspected the 4.20 km long Tal Ring Road being built on the banks of Ramgarh Tal from Mohaddipur to Sahara Estate. About Rs 28.60 crore is being spent on the construction of this road. The objective of this project is to improve the traffic system in the city and make commuting easier.

Construction work being done by Gorakhpur Development Authority

Tal Ring Road is being constructed by Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA). During the inspection, the Chief Minister took complete information about the road project by seeing the layout, drawing map and video presentation. He gave instructions to remove traffic congestion in the initial part. Along with this, instructions were also given to cover the roadside drains and improve the drainage system, so that there is no problem of waterlogging during rains or other circumstances.

Construction will be completed by May 2026, new jetty also proposed

Officials informed that the construction work of Tal Ring Road will be completed by May 2026. There is also a plan to build a new jetty in the Sahara Estate area connected to the Ring Road, which can improve the development and tourism facilities of the area.

Additional work on road safety and drainage improvements

Under the Ring Road project, work to increase the height of roadside retaining walls, drains, airvalve chambers and manholes is also being done at a cost of about Rs 13.33 crore. This will increase the strength and safety of the road, as well as improve the drainage system.
