Quinton De Kock: South Africa’s Quinton de Kock has broken MS Dhoni’s record. He achieved this success in the match played against New Zealand on 14 February. De Kock broke the record by playing 3 matches less than Dhoni
Former Indian captain and wicketkeeper MS Dhoni had taken 32 dismissals in 32 innings of 33 matches played in the T20 World Cup, which included 21 catches and 11 stumpings. Quinton de Kock broke the record set by Dhoni in just 30 matches. De Kock has taken 33 victims in the T20 World Cup, which includes 26 catches and 7 stumpings.
De Kock is the only wicketkeeper to take 100 wickets in T20I
Quinton de Kock has not only broken Dhoni’s record in the T20 World Cup, apart from this, he is the only wicketkeeper in the Men’s T20 International who has taken more than 100 wickets. So far he has taken 110 wickets in 103 matches. In this case, after De Kock, England’s Jos Buttler is in second place, who has taken 93 dismissals. With 91 dismissals, Dhoni is the third successful wicketkeeper in T20 International.
