Harela Festival: On Harela festival, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami planted saplings in Pauri and visited Dhanvantari Dham Herbal World and laid emphasis on Ayurveda and biodiversity conservation.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami: On the occasion of Harela festival, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Malagram in Yamkeshwar development block of Pauri Garhwal district on Tuesday. Here he participated in an intensive plantation program and planted saplings and gave the message of green Uttarakhand along with environmental protection. He also appealed to the people to plant more and more trees and play their part in preserving nature.

Dhanvantari Dham Herbal World Overview of rare medicinal plants in the Himalayas

After the plantation programme, the Chief Minister took a detailed tour of ‘Shri Dhanvantari Dham Herbal World Himalaya’. During this, he took information about the rare medicinal plants preserved here, various research activities and Ayurveda based innovations. He also inspected the meditation hut located in the campus and observed the arrangements there.

Chief Minister’s emphasis on biodiversity and Ayurveda conservation

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Uttarakhand’s rich biodiversity, Himalayan medicinal plants and traditional Ayurvedic knowledge are the precious heritage of the state. He said that their conservation and scientific research is the need of the hour. According to him, the efforts being made in this direction will give new strength to environmental protection and will promote the conservation of medicinal plants. He said that promotion of herbal research, Ayurveda based innovation and herbal tourism will also create new employment and self-employment opportunities for the local youth. This will also strengthen the economy of the state and Uttarakhand’s identity will be further strengthened in the field of medicinal plants.

Country’s unique herbal park is becoming a center of attraction

‘Shri Dhanvantari Dham Herbal World Himalaya’ located in Malagram is a special herbal park of its kind in the country. Here, rare herbs and medicinal plants brought from different states of the country and Himalayan regions are being conserved and promoted scientifically. This center is emerging as an important institute for coordination of traditional medical practices and modern scientific research.

Patanjali Yogpeeth founder Swami Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishna, State Women Commission Chairperson Kusum Kandwal, Yamkeshwar MLA Renu Bisht, District Magistrate Swati S. were present in the programme. Bhadauria, Senior Superintendent of Police Sarvesh Panwar, BJP District President Rajgaurav Nautiyal, Sub-District Magistrate Chatar Singh Chauhan, many public representatives, administrative officers and a large number of local citizens were present.
