Mahashivratri 2026: Every year Mahashivratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi day of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month. Mythological belief is that on this day the marriage of Mahadev and Mother Parvati took place. This year the holy festival of Mahashivratri will be celebrated on 15th February i.e. tomorrow. On this day, Jalabhishek on Shivalinga is considered to have special significance. On this day, God remains in a happy mood and fulfills all the wishes by worshiping and fasting.

According to religious belief, worshiping Lord Shiva on Mahashivratri makes marital life happy. It is also said to bring some special things at home on the day of Mahashivratri.
