In the Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented the government’s side on MSME, investment, law and order, EV, semiconductor, sports development and SIR process. Describing UP as a trust and transformation model, he reiterated the goal of making UP the number one economy by 2029-30.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly that today Uttar Pradesh has become a model of “Trust, Transformation and Timely Delivery”. This is the identity of the new Uttar Pradesh. He spoke in detail on issues like government policies, law and order, MSME, investment, sports, electric vehicles, semiconductor, religious tradition and SIR.
UP’s MSME sector: 96 lakh units and more than 3 crore jobs
The Chief Minister said that currently 96 lakh MSME units are operating in the state. These have provided employment to more than 3 crore 11 lakh people. After agriculture, MSME has become the largest employment generating sector.
He said that this sector had almost come to a standstill during the previous government. There was a lack of clear vision, understanding of technology and willpower. Entrepreneurs had to face “Inspector Raj”. Industries were affected by the actions of the Pollution Control Board and other departments.
The present government has exempted new MSME units from NOC for 1000 days. Its positive result is that today lakhs of units are active in the state. The Chief Minister described this as the result of the policy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas”.
Law and order and rule of law: security is the guarantee of development
The Chief Minister said that it is the primary responsibility of the government to provide security to every citizen. Those who play with law and order will have to face strict action. There will be no compromise with the future of 25 crore people. He said that infrastructure development has become possible only due to strong law and order. Projects like expressways, air connectivity and rapid rail have progressed rapidly.
Meerut-Delhi Rapid Rail and better connectivity
The Chief Minister said that Meerut-Delhi Rapid Rail will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22 February. Earlier it used to take 3-4 hours to go from Meerut to Delhi, now the distance will be covered in 45 minutes. The connectivity of the state has been strengthened with 12 lane highway and rapid rail. He accused the opposition that the previous governments worked to increase distance in the society.
From policy paralysis to policy stability
The Chief Minister said that earlier UP was deprived of investment. Today its identity is “Fearless Governance” and “Ease of Doing Business”. Triple S – Security, stability and speed are guaranteed.
More than 34 sectoral policies are implemented in the state. Platforms like Nivesh Mitra, Nivesh Sarathi and Udyami Mitra are facilitating investors. UP is now among the top achiever states in ease of doing business. Many laws have been reformed under deregulation and decriminalization.
Industry first and investor first: Rs 50 lakh crore investment proposal
The Chief Minister said that from 1947 to 2017, there were 14 thousand factories in the state, whereas in the last eight and a half years, more than 31 thousand new factories have been added. Investment proposals worth Rs 50 lakh crore came, which provided employment to more than 60 lakh youth. The ‘Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment Zone’ scheme will ensure employment related skill system in every district. A special corporation has been formed to prevent exploitation in outsourcing. The youth will get an honorarium of Rs 16-20 thousand. Action will be taken against exploitative companies.
UP’s growth in electronics, semiconductor and EV sectors
The Chief Minister said that 65% of the country’s mobile and 55-60% electronic components are being made in UP. North India’s first semiconductor fab unit will be established soon. UP is also ahead in the electric vehicle sector. The country’s first EV manufacturing unit has started here. UP has 19% share in the national market and 40% share in three-wheeler EVs. 700 EV buses are operating.
Sports infrastructure and preparedness for 2030-2036
The government is planning to open sports colleges at every divisional headquarters. Preparations are being made keeping in mind the 2030 Commonwealth and 2036 Olympics. Players are being given priority in government jobs.
Shankaracharya controversy and Sanatan tradition
The Chief Minister said that the post of Shankaracharya is the highest in the Sanatan tradition. This is not a common title. Following the rules is mandatory for everyone. Law is equal for everyone, even the Chief Minister is not above the law. He mentioned the four Peethas established by Adi Shankaracharya – Jyotisha Peetha, Shringeri, Jagannathpuri and Dwarikapuri and explained the tradition of the four Vedas and Mahavakyas.
Government’s stand on SIR and voter list verification
The Chief Minister said that the Special Intensive Verification (SIR) of the voter list is completely transparent and is going on as per the instructions of the Election Commission. Verification is done when objection is filed through Form 7. More than 2 crore 88 lakh names have been identified in the ASD (Absent, Shifting, Death) category. More than 46 lakh dead, 1.39 crore displaced people and 25 lakh duplicate names have emerged. The objective of the government is to make the voter list pure and reliable.
Magh Mela and administrative success
The Chief Minister said that more than 21 crore devotees have come to the present Magh Mela. The event was successful due to better security and administrative arrangements.
Uttar Pradesh: Towards Modern Ramrajya
The Chief Minister said that today there is rule of law in the state, farmers are empowered, women have a sense of security, youth are getting employment and electricity has reached the villages. The government aims to make Uttar Pradesh the country’s number one economy by 2029-30. Development and heritage are moving forward together.
