According to the election affidavit, Prashant Kishore has total assets worth Rs 96.06 crore. This includes movable assets worth Rs 22.19 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 73.87 crore. Apart from this, he has also declared a bank loan of Rs 5.77 crore. Talking about cash, he has Rs 65,570 in cash. The affidavit also states that he holds 100 percent stake in a private company.

Prashant Kishore’s wife Dr Jhanvi Das, a medical practitioner from Assam, has declared total assets worth around Rs 102 crore in her name. This includes movable assets worth Rs 89.51 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 12.42 crore. He also has Rs 1,95,200 in cash. Dr Das, who usually stays away from public events, was present with her husband during the nomination this time.

According to the election affidavit, while Prashant Kishore has declared total assets of Rs 96.06 crore, Dr Jhanvi Das has assets worth around Rs 102 crore. That means his total wealth is about Rs 6 crore more than Prashant Kishore. Interestingly, Dr. Das’s movable assets are worth Rs 89.51 crore, which is several times more than Prashant Kishore’s movable assets of Rs 22.19 crore. However, in terms of immovable assets, Prashant Kishore is ahead of his wife with Rs 73.87 crore, as Dr Das has declared immovable assets worth Rs 12.42 crore.
Donation of Rs 85 crore to Jan Suraj also revealed
Another important information has come to light in the affidavit. It is reported that Prashant Kishore’s wholly owned private company donated Rs 85 crore to Jan Suraj Party and Rs 50 lakh to Jan Suraj Foundation during the financial year 2024-25. This information is part of the election documents.
What did Prashant Kishor say after nomination?
After filing the nomination, Prashant Kishore said that this is not just his nomination but a message of the beginning of political change in Bihar. He said that leaders associated with criminal cases in the state should leave power. He also reiterated the claim that Bankipur by-election will prove to be the public opinion on the current NDA government of Bihar. Prashant Kishore has been continuously saying that if he wins this seat, it will have a direct political impact on the state government. He also targeted Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and mentioned an old murder case registered against him in the 1990s.
Voting on Bankipur seat is to be held on July 30. BJP has made Neeraj Kumar Sinha its candidate in this election.
