Producer Pallavi Joshi asked for help from President
A day before the release of ‘The Bengal Files’, the film’s producer Pallavi Joshi wrote an open letter to President Draupadi Murmu and demanded intervention and safety for his constitutional rights. Pallavi Joshi wrote in her letter, “The Bengal Files Files is the last film of Triology, which is releasing on September 5. It highlights the truth of Hindu massacre, horrors and pain of partition on direct action day, which was buried for years. But in West Bengal, the truth is being done in West Bengal. Mochables had been blocked by the police since then.
Pallavi further wrote, “My family is being threatened by political party workers every day. Now the theater owners say that they are getting threatening and the ruling party workers are preventing them from showing the film showing fear of violence. No official ban, yet an informal ban has made it silent before watching the film.”
