Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that mass marriage is a very good and practical way to marry sons and daughters. He said that expensive and ostentatious marriages are increasing in the society, which is a matter of concern. In such a situation, it is important to adopt frugality. Society is changing rapidly, hence thinking should also change with time.
The Chief Minister said that he had also got his son married in a mass marriage conference in Ujjain. He says that unnecessary expenses should be avoided in weddings. The savings generated from mass marriage can be used for other needs and facilities of the family.
Appeal to stop wasteful expenditure – Simplicity is necessary in marriage and death feast
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav appealed to the people of the state to avoid ostentation and unnecessary expenditure in programs like marriage or funeral feast. He said that the mass marriages organized at Bageshwar Dham are like a Yagya and such positive actions are remembered for a long time.
He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gifted a cancer hospital in Chhatarpur to strengthen Indian culture. Our religious places are miraculous and now health facilities are also available near the temples.
Government support and employment assistance in mass marriage conference
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the mass girl marriage conference organized at Bageshwar Dham Sarkar. He said that if the sons and daughters who got married in this conference need employment or any work, the government will provide all possible assistance. He also said that marriage is the most important sanskar among the 16 sanskars of life, which shows the direction of dharma, artha, kama and moksha. On this occasion, he greeted 300 new couples.
Importance of Sanatan culture, religious places and historical traditions
The Chief Minister said that there were many external attacks to weaken the Indian Sanatan culture, but our culture always emerged strong. Giving an example, he said that Somnath temple was also attacked, but today its grandeur is continuously increasing. Similarly, a grand installation of Lord Shri Ram has been done in Ayodhya Ram temple. He said that Bageshwar Dham has also worked to give a new direction to Sanatan culture.
Chief Minister’s mass girl marriage scheme and Rs 51 thousand assistance
The Chief Minister said that the state government provides financial assistance of Rs 51 thousand for the marriage of daughters under the Chief Minister Collective Girls Marriage Scheme. This reduces the financial burden on families.
He also told that in Sanatan tradition, there are three such dates when marriages can be performed without Muhurta – Devuthani Ekadashi, Basant Panchami and Akshaya Tritiya. Organizing mass marriages on these dates reduces expenses and brings positive change in the society. He appealed to the people to promote the spirit of simplicity and social cooperation by adopting good traditions like mass marriages.
