Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the state level training program for the first phase of Census-2027 at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium in Bhopal. He said that a historic census is going to be conducted in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Madhya Pradesh will become an ideal model for the country in this process and will successfully fulfill the expectations of the Central Government. A short film based on the census process was also shown in the programme.

Digital Census 2027: Big step towards data based development

The Chief Minister said that census is the biggest and important data process of the country. On its basis, government schemes are made, distribution of resources is decided and a strategy is prepared to deliver development to the last person of the society. India is the most populous country in the world, hence this census is important not only from the national but also from the global point of view. He said that the Prime Minister has taken a historic decision to conduct digital census. Besides, emphasis was also laid on the system of recording the actual situation of villages, hamlets and Bechirag villages.

Decisions regarding roads, hospitals and education development are decided by census.

The Chief Minister said that development works like roads, hospitals, schools in the state proceed only on the basis of census data. Therefore, census is not just a process of counting numbers but also a test of transparency, responsibility and sensitivity of the administration. He told the officials that special strategies should be made keeping in mind the challenges of different areas and the census work should be completed within the time limit. Collectors and commissioners should give strong leadership to this process.

Instructions given on festivals, budget session and administrative preparations

The Chief Minister said that the budget session of the Assembly will run from 16 February to 6 March. In view of festivals like Mahashivratri and Holi, instructions were given to hold meetings with peace committees and ensure necessary preparations, so that peace and order is maintained in the state.

Farmers Welfare Year 2026: Schemes for farmers and emphasis on increasing production

The Chief Minister congratulated the officials for better implementation of Bhavantar Yojana. He said that the year 2026 has been declared the Farmer Welfare Year, hence effective implementation of schemes related to farmers is necessary. Said to pay special attention to promoting urad and groundnut in summer crops, providing benefits to farmers from maize production and eliminating incidents of stubble burning. Besides, instructions were also given to increase the production of pulses and oilseeds and to achieve the revenue target in the mineral, registration and excise departments.
