Lucknow Hit and Run Video: A 12th class student returning from the farewell party crushed many people with a speeding car. In this terrible accident, a six-year-old child died and four other people were injured.
Lucknow: A class 12 student rammed a speeding car into several people, killing a six-year-old child and injuring four others. According to the police, 21-year-old Gaurav Singh was returning from a farewell party when he lost control of his car around 6:00 pm on Thursday evening. The vehicle first collided with a parked motorcycle, following which a series of accidents took place. CCTV footage captured the horrifying moment when the car collided with a two-wheeler on which a man was sitting, knocking him to the ground.
The car then turned onto the road and mowed down four pedestrians – Armaan, Sadhna Patel, her mother Meena Devi and Sadhna’s six-year-old son Dishant. The speeding vehicle collided with an e-rickshaw and then an auto, due to which e-rickshaw driver Avadh Bihari was injured.

Eyewitnesses said that as soon as the car went out of control, people standing nearby ran to save their lives. Amidst the chaos, the student and his friend allegedly fled the spot leaving behind the damaged vehicle. Local people took the injured to a private hospital and informed the police.
Seriously injured Dishant was referred to a community health centre, where doctors declared him dead. That little boy was a student of second class in Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Later the police seized the vehicle and arrested the accused.
Lucknow ACP Rajneesh Verma said the families of the injured have been informed and police are examining CCTV footage of the area. FIR will be registered based on the complaint of the victims’ families.
