The final report of UCC in Madhya Pradesh was submitted to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The CM asked Congress to clarify its stand, while the committee recommended keeping tribals out of the UCC.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached the Assembly on Monday (July 14) morning. Here he paid tribute to the former Chief Minister of the state, late Kailash Joshi, on his birth anniversary by offering flowers on his portrait. After this, while talking to the media, he said many important things regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
MP UCC Report: Demand from Congress to clarify its stand
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the committee constituted on Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has submitted its final report to him. Now Congress should also put forward its clear stand on this issue. He said that whether it is the issue of UCC or the issue of Bhojshala, Congress looks at every issue only from the perspective of Hindu-Muslim and vote bank politics. The Chief Minister said that people from all religions of the society have openly given their suggestions and views on UCC, but Congress has not been able to clarify its position till now.

UCC Final Report: Final report submitted to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav
It is noteworthy that the high level committee formed for Uniform Civil Code (UCC) had submitted its final report to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on July 13. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to all the members including the Chairman of the Committee for preparing and submitting the report within the stipulated time. During this, committee member Prof. Gopal Sharma, Budhpal Singh, Shobha Paithankar and member secretary Ajay Katesaria were also present.
UCC committee report prepared in three volumes
The report submitted by the committee has been prepared in three different sections. The first section contains the recommendations of the committee. In this, suggestions have been given after studying various laws and social practices applicable in international, national and Madhya Pradesh. A total of 10 chapters are included in this part. In the second section, the draft of the proposed bill has been prepared. It has been made keeping in mind the existing laws and rules applicable in Madhya Pradesh. The proposed Bill consists of 4 parts, 404 sections and 7 schedules.
MP UCC: Over 9.58 lakh suggestions, recommendation to keep tribals out
A detailed description of the public consultation is given in the third section of the report. This includes analysis of suggestions received at the district level, state level and through the website. The committee received a total of more than 9.58 lakh suggestions. Their question-wise, gender-wise and community-wise studies have also been included in the report. In its recommendation, the committee has suggested keeping the Scheduled Tribes out of the scope of the Uniform Civil Code.
