Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
Big news has come for lakhs of farmers waiting for the 22nd installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi i.e. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. According to the latest information, the bank accounts of more than 30 lakh farmers across the country have not yet been linked to Aadhaar. In such a situation, the next installment of Rs 2000 coming into their account may get stuck.
According to the ministry’s data, till February 6, 2026, the accounts of 30,18,361 farmers were not found to be linked to Aadhaar. Its biggest impact may be on big agricultural states. There are more than 10 lakh farmers in Uttar Pradesh whose accounts are not yet linked to Aadhaar. Apart from this, a large number of farmers may also be affected in states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Names of some farmers in smaller states and union territories like Sikkim, Goa and Chandigarh are also included in the list, but the number there is less.
The government has clearly indicated that farmers whose bank accounts are not linked to Aadhaar may face difficulty in getting the benefit of the 22nd installment. Therefore, it is important that farmers complete this work on time. The government sends money through DBT i.e. direct bank transfer and for this it is considered necessary to link the bank account with Aadhaar.
This is how you can link Aadhaar
If you are also a beneficiary of this scheme, then first of all check the status of your bank account. You can find out whether Aadhaar is linked or not through net banking, mobile banking app or by visiting the bank branch. If needed, Aadhaar can be updated online by choosing the option of seeding. Those who are not able to use the online facility, they can directly go to the bank branch and get the linking done by filling the form with Aadhar card and passbook. Some banks also provide ATM or SMS facility.
Keep in mind that Aadhaar linking has become a necessary process to avail the benefits of many government schemes. After the linking is complete, you get information from the bank through SMS or email. If you get this updated on time, then the upcoming installment of Rs 2000 can reach your account without any interruption.
