Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi of Bareilly wrote a letter to CM Yogi demanding investigation of Sunni and Shia Waqf Board. He claimed a big scam in Waqf properties.

Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Bareilvi on Waqf Board: National President of All India Muslim Jamaat in Bareilly, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi has made serious allegations regarding Waqf properties. He said that if an impartial and in-depth investigation is conducted, big scams related to Waqf properties can come to light. In this matter, he has written a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanding an inquiry into both Sunni Waqf Board and Shia Waqf Board.

Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi said that he has sent a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath requesting a detailed investigation of both the Waqf boards. He says that the investigation can reveal many facts related to the management and transactions of Waqf properties.

Accusations against Samajwadi Party’s rule

Razvi alleged that many Waqf properties were damaged during the long rule of the Samajwadi Party. According to him, there were serious irregularities in the preservation and management of Waqf properties at that time.

Accusations were also made against Azam Khan

Maulana Razvi said that during all four tenures of Samajwadi Party, Azam Khan had the responsibility of Minority Welfare and Waqf Department. He alleges that during this period people close to him were made chairmen and members of the Waqf Board. He claimed that some members and officials of the board allegedly in collusion with the land mafia and builders sold lands worth crores of rupees at extremely low prices.

‘If investigation is done then big scams will come to light’

Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi said that if an impartial investigation is conducted into the entire matter, major financial scams related to Waqf properties can be exposed. He claims that if such an investigation is conducted, people’s attention will shift from the alleged theft related to Ram Temple donations to the alleged scams related to Waqf properties.
