Sanath Jayasuriya played a half-century innings against West Indies in the 2009 T20 World Cup, during which he was 39 years, 345 days old. Now this record is in the name of Mohammad Nadeem, who has scored a half-century at the age of 43 years, 161 days. Nadeem is also the oldest cricketer in this T20 World Cup. Shoaib Malik has scored a half-century in the T20 World Cup at the age of 39 years, 279 days. Former Sri Lankan cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan had scored a half-century in the year 2016 at the age of 39 years, 155 days. Talking about Mohammad Nadeem’s career, this player has scored 768 runs for Oman in 70 matches at an average of 20.7. He has scored only two half-centuries in T20 International. Apart from this, he also has 40 wickets in his name.
