Cricketer’s pain expressed after being out of PSL
While interacting with his old teammate Mohammad Aamir on the show, Shehzad said that it is emotionally difficult for him to watch his teammates play. He has given 18 years to cricket, but now not getting a place in the teams hurts him a lot. Shahzad said, yes I get emotional. To be honest, it hurts a lot. I want to play. All my batchmates are playing, I am happy for them. I am such a person that when something good happens to someone, I feel true happiness.
‘Suddenly everything went out of hand’
34-year-old Shehzad raised the question as to how he was left out of the race for a place in the PSL team. He said, I wonder what was the reason behind this. Everything had started before my eyes. I have spent 18 years in this field and it is very difficult to see it all go away suddenly. These things make me cry.
Tears welled up while talking about 9 year old son
Shahzad could not control himself while mentioning his 9 year old son. He told that his son wants to see him playing on the field again. He said, the pain lasts for two-three days. Emotions are like a rollercoaster. When I try to sleep at night, the saddest feeling is that my son wants me to play. He sleeps next to me and says, ‘Abba, I remember you playing, but will I be able to remember you properly?’ Saying this, Shehzad became emotional, apologized and walked out of the set.

Ahmed Shehzad played five PSL seasons between 2016 and 2021. He scored 1077 runs in 45 matches at a strike rate of 120, which included 9 half-centuries. However, they are away from the league since 2023. Recently he criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for being listed in the local category for the PSL 10 draft. He called it a publicity stunt.
