ODI Series in England: Did you see what happened in the T20 series? It was a maze of 9 meters, in which England had trapped Team India and forced them to kneel. The 9 meter Chakravyuh here means short pitch bowling. England had trapped the Indian batsmen by using short of length in the T20 series. When the bowler goes for a short pitch delivery, he usually makes the ball bounce from a length of 9 meters only. However, it also changes depending on the pitch and batsman. Generally the length is between 7 to 10 meters. This is the length which England can now use against Team India in the ODI series also.
The neck bone was made in the short-length T20 series.
When England used short length balls in the T20 series, Team India’s batsmen had a lot of trouble playing them. His same problem further led to the shameful story of Team India. India had to face defeat 0-4 in the 5 T20 series. It was fortunate that one match was lost to rain, otherwise the figure would have been 0-5.
How did Team India get stuck in England’s 9 meter maze?
Before the 5th T20 played in Southampton, England used 118 short pitch balls against India, on which India lost 11 wickets. He scored 171 runs on those 118 balls at a strike rate of 144.9 and an average of 15.54. Now if we add to this 3 more wickets that fell on short off length deliveries in the 5th T20, it becomes clear that a total of 14 times in the T20 series, Indian batsmen have been seen getting stuck in the maze of 9 meters. Team India lost 8 wickets in the 5th T20 played in Southampton, in which Abhishek Sharma, Shivam Dubey and Suryansh Shedge lost their wickets on short of length balls.
Weakness was seen in front of short of length
By using the short length ball, England not only trapped the Indian batsmen during the T20 series but also exposed the weaknesses of some of them. Among such batsmen, the name of Vaibhav Suryavanshi is at the top, who was dismissed by Joffra Archer on his short ball in 2 out of 3 matches.
If England did this in the ODI series, it would give a befitting reply.
It will not be surprising that England is seen using the same short of length in the ODI series to trap Team India. But, the other side of the coin is that this time the faces of the Indian batsmen may have changed. Experience and technique would have replaced enthusiasm, in which apart from Rohit-Virat, there would be heroes like Shubman Gill. In such a situation, if England creates a 9-meter maze, it will get a befitting reply. Because, batsmen playing ODI series know how to deal with short of length.
